The
Applications are invited for a studentship in modelling human behaviour and its impacts on energy performance in domestic buildings funded by the EPSRC.
This project will investigate the behaviour impact on energy usage in domestic buildings using the stochastic model. The domestic energy consumption profiles will be developed by taking into account the factors such as environmental attitude, family income, occupant pattern, thermal comfort expectation and living habitats, etc.
EU applicants will be eligible for a studentship covering their tuition fees.
Non-EU applicants will be eligible for a partial tuition fees studentship of £8,000 p.a.
Applicants should have a good Bachelors or Masters degree in Architectural Engineering or Building Physics. Excellent skills in mathematical modelling and data analysis are essential. Excellent communication skills are also required. The anticipated starting date is April 2009.
