[摘要] GRUS MONACHA INTERNATIONAL AID (GMIA) is a UK-registered Charitable Company serving as a bridge between the helping hands worldwide and small conservational projects in rural China where the destruction of eco-system is ongoing, precious species are disappearing and urgent help is needed. As a UK registered Charity, its immediate responsibility is protecting the habitat of Hooded Crane (白头鹤) in North Eastern China from wetland reclamation and deforestation through creating a network of international and national effort typically by means of financial aid, global awareness raising, introducing sustainable energies and nurturing public appreciation of the artistic & spiritual value of the cranes. We are looking for enthusiastic applicants who share our visions and passionate about the projects we work on to join the GMIA team.

We are looking for enthusiastic applicants who share our visions and passionate about the projects we work on to join the GMIA team.

Job descriptions

The role covers a wide range of areas where an individual’s skills and creativity will be best utilised and further developed:

•    Involving in design, development and maintenance of the charity’s website and newsletters, including a special e-magazine on crane arts
•    Plenty of networking opportunities with artists, martial-artists, conservationists, businesses, universities, governments, and media, etc. to help build relations with various parties to promote the name and work of the charity.
•    Organising, advertising and participating in Fund Raising events/projects which may involve working with social responsibility departments of top-tier firms
•    Participating in members meetings and writing minutes
•    Translating articles between Chinese and English, a large number of which are first-hand news directly from China
•    Representing GMIA to attend various charity related conferences and events
•    Maintaining membership database and keeping up to date information

Candidate Requirements

The role will suit a Chinese student studying at a UK university (as well as students studying Chinese or generally interested in China) who is genuinely compassionate and enthusiastic about getting involved in charity work and projects and keen to help make a difference for the better.
