Trax JH Ltd is a well established expanding automotive parts manufacturer with 35% of sales to Original Equipment (car) companies and over 70% exported. We are forecasting significant growth in our business.

We are seeking a motivated individual with a mechanical engineering background who will give first hand support to our busy department manager and to act as a project leader when necessary to progress projects through to completion.

You would accept responsibility across a range of activities including:-

• Liaison with Original Equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
• Input into the design and development of new Trax products
• Assistance with supplier selection and development
• Sub-contractor monitoring in Asia, Europe and the UK
• Installation and monitoring of sub-contractor quality systems
• Deputising for the Product Engineering & Quality Manager in his absence.

The candidate will have a minimum HNC.  You will be required to work on your own or as part of a small team and be able to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers, in the UK, Europe and Asia.  You will need to have familiarity with AutoCad or Solid Edge and be able to work within tight deadlines. You should also be prepared to travel abroad at short notice.

We offer 22 days holiday (excluding Bank holidays) rising to 25 after 3 years. 4 times salary life insurance cover. Office hours are 8.30 to 5.15 Monday to Thursday (half hour lunch) and 8.30 to 12.30 Fridays.
