Dear CSSA president,
The 17th CSSA-UK is now officially calling for representatives of AGM 2006 of CSSA-UK.We have received responses on the coming AGM 2006 from some local CSSAs. Due to the large number of representatives and limited space of the meeting hall and accomodation, it is necessary to organize the meeting smoothly. Here we call again for the detailed information about all representatives. ONLY those representatives registered with COMPLETE information will be allocated a seat during the meeting and will have right to VOTE, so please help to fill out the attached registration form and send it to uccyouping@yahoo.com by 12:00am, Monday, 24th April, 2006.

Time: Saturday 6 May-Sunday 7 May 2006. 10:00am-5:30pm
Venue: the Education Section, London (50 Portland place, W1B 1NQ)
Closing date of registration: 12:00am 24 April, 2006
(2) Where to send the registration form
All local CSSAs should send registration information to Ms Youping Han, Secretary of 2006 Annual General Meeting at uccyouping@yahoo.com.
(3) Who will be eligible to attend the AGM and vote for Election

Generally, one local CSSA can only send ONE representative for the meeting. For more details, please refer to http://www.cssauk.org.uk/cssauk/constitution.pdf According to the suggestion of Education Section of Chinese Embassy, an extra one might be considered for those CSSAs wich are constituted/made up by two or more universities and have more than 1000 officially registered members. If you want to apply for the extra one representative, please contact Zhiqiang ZHAO, Secretary General of 2006 Annual General Meeting, at zhiqiang.zhao@queens.ox.ac.uk for more details.
All of standing committee members of 17th CSSA-UK are eligible for the AGM. Executive committee members who want to attend AGM must contact Wu Changxin, president of 17th CSSA-UK, at cxw20@yahoo.com for approval.
All the approved representatives from local CSSAs and standing committee members of 17th
CSSA-UK have the right to vote in the election of the 18th President and Standing Committee of CSSA-UK. Executive committee members of 17th CSSA-UK are not eligible for voting.
(4) Travel Arrangement
Except delegates from Ireland, all delegates including those from Scotland and Manchester Area are suggested by Education Section to use train or coach for economic travel. All delegates are strongly encouraged to book travel tickets in advance to save travel expense.If you have any discount cards such as young person card etc, please do use it at your convenient.Please do not forget to get your receipt for reimbursement when you buy the travel ticket. For those whose travel cost is potentially over 60 pounds, the estimate of travel cost MUST be sent to Ms Youping HAN at uccyouping@yahoo.com, by 12:00am of 20 April, 2006. If such information is not received by 20 April 2006, the CSSA-UK can only be able to subsidize your travel cost up to Sixty pounds, regardless of the actual cost.
(5) Accomodation
For the delegates outside London, the CSSA-UK will book accomodation on 6 May, 2006. Very limited overnight accommodation on 5 May 2006 will be booked for delegates far away from London, So other delegates who will arrive at London on 5 May are strongly encouraged to sort out their overnight accommodation by themselves. For those who have real difficulties for accomodation on 5 May 2006, please send an accommodation request ASAP to uccyouping@yahoo.com and the CSSA-UK will try our best to help out.
According to the suggestion of Education Section of Chinese Embassy, we will not offer accomodation for the delegates from London; however, Education Section will help reimburse the travel cost within London during meeting period.
(6) Reimbursement
It was recently suggested by the Education Section that all expenses should be claimed by local CSSAs from the Education Section directly, not from CSSA-UK. Therefore, please keep all your receipts and claim the expenses from the Education Section during meeting period. Please do not forget to get your receipt for reimbursement when you buy the travel ticket.

If you are arriving in London by train and would like to get off at Oxford Circus, you can travel as follows:
Euston Station: 1. Take Southbound of Northern Line to Tottenham Count Road (two stops); 2. Change to Westbound of Central Line to Oxford Circus (one stop).
King's Cross: 1. Take Southbound of Piccadilly Line to Holborn (two stops); 2. Change to Westbound of Central Line to Oxford Circus (two stops).
Waterloo Station: 1. Take Northbound of Northern Line to Tottenham Count Road (four stops); 2. Change to Westbound of Central Line to Oxford Circus (one stop). Or 1. Take Northbound of Northern Line to Embankment (one stop); 2. Change to Northbound of Bakerloo Line to Oxford Circus (three stops).
Victoria Station: 1. Take Northbound of Victoria Line to Oxford Circus (two stops).

If you are coming by air, from the Heathrow Airport: 1.Take Eastbound of Piccadilly Line to Green Park (18 stops); 2. Change to Northbound of Victoria Line to Oxford Circus (one stop).
Please print out the entire guide provided above, especially those in the web sites mentioned above before your trip and always keep it with you during your journey.
