主席候选人资格：
必备条件：
1. 中华人民共和国公民；
2. 年满十八周岁；
3. 以学者/学生身份在英国全职工作/学习；
4. 在英国居留满一年；
5. 自报名之日起至少还将在英国居留一年以上；
6. 熟悉学联运作，有丰富的经验；

理想条件：
1. 有前瞻性的思维、出色的领导才干；
2. 有团队精神和卓越的统筹协调能力；
3. 有热情和精力从事志愿工作；
4. 工作或学习的地点在伦敦及附近地区；

全英中国学联将本着“公平、公正、公开”的原则，严格按照章程组织主席选举。我们欢迎符合上述条件的学生学者们积极报名参选。想成为第十八届全英中国学联主席候选人，请准备如下材料：
1. 个人简历及联系方式（不超过2页A4纸）；
2. 竞选主旨（不超过250汉字/英文单词）；
3. 两位全英学联现任常委的书面推荐意见；
4. 有效签证复印件或学籍、工作合同复印件；
并在4月24日中午12时之前寄到选举委员会主席王彦博处yanbojustinwang@hotmail.com，并抄送吴长新主席cxw20@yahoo.com。

按照全英学联章程规定，选举的基本程序为：在本人自荐或他人推荐的基础上，并征得至少两名现任全英学联常委的推荐，产生全英学联主席候选人。由全英学联常委会推选并征求使馆教育处意见后，其中二至三名作为学联主席正式候选人，并予以公示。候选人在全体代表大会上作竞选演说，经代表大会无记名投票，得票数多者当选。

为规范学联选举，体现学联工作的透明度，第十七届全英学联将设立选举委员会，处理主席和常委选举的相关事宜，同时接受全英学联所有成员及会员单位的监督。选举的具体日期和细节将于确定后另行通知。

Call for president candidate(s) for the 18th CSSA-UK

Dear all,
The 17th Executive Committee of the Chinese Students and Scholars Association in the United Kingdom (CSSA-UK) is calling for candidates for the position of the 18th CSSA-UK president.
Qualifications
General qualifications for candidates include:
1. a citizen of People’s Republic of China
2. over 18 years of age
3. officially registered full time student or scholar in UK
4. already resident in the UK for more than one year
5. resident in the UK for at least one more year
6. good knowledge of the CSSA-UK and strong experience of running organization

Preferred qualifications for candidates include:
1. creative attitude and excellent leadership experience which demonstrates that a candidate has developed the necessary perspective to function effectively at the national level
2. good team-working skills and effective administrative skills
3. enthusiasm and time commitment　

To apply
Anyone who is interested in running for the presidency, please submit the following:
1. A copy of CV with clear contact details (no longer than TWO A4 sheet)
2. A election scheme of no more than 250 Chinese characters/English words
3. Two written references from the current standing committee members of the 17th CSSA-UK (contact details of the standing committee members can be found from the web site of the CSSA-UK http://www.cssauk.org.uk/cssauk/cssauk_17_standing_committee.htm)
4. A photocopy of your valid UK visa, or valid work permit, or valid registration card.
All the documents (including two reference letters) should be addressed to yanbojustinwang@hotmail.com no later than noon 24th April via email and also cc to cxw20@yahoo.com.
According to the constitution of the CSSA-UK, reference letters from at least two members of the 17th CSSA-UK Standing Committee are needed for each valid applicant. Of these valid candidates, 2 or 3 will be selected as formal candidates by the 17th CSSA-UK Standing Committee and thereafter their information will be publicized on our website. Every formal candidate will be invited to deliver a campaign speech at AGM. Eventually a secret ballot will decide who will be the new president of the 18th CSSA-UK. The 17th CSSA-UK will set up an election committee to deal with all issues regarding the election and welcome oversees from individuals and local CSSAs. The election date and other details will be announced once it is decided.
